This is a tour package mixed of two and a half day trekking and one day sightseeing in the Caspian Sea region. It starts from Tehran in the early morning driving to the Alamut Valley. From there you will hike to the Caspian Sea. On trekking route, you will have a stop at the castle of the Assassin (Alamut). You will pass few villages with amazing landscapes, stay with local people and taste their food. The chosen hiking route is not a general passageway used by many people; it is a special trekking route with maximum beauty and visibility, mountainous with many beautiful spots ideal for photography. After finishing the trek you will transfer to the Ramsar city which is situated in coast of the Caspian Sea and you will have memorable night there in the hotel.
The last day would be sightseeing in the Caspian Sea coastal towns. Northern Iran around Caspian Sea is an ideal climate for planting rice, tea, fruits and so on; depending on the season you are traveling we will include the main highlights of this region to visit in one day. You will visit Ramsar, the famous city for Wetland convention, visiting Ramasar Palace and the museums. Afterwards, you will visit Lahijan, the center of tea plantation, taking cable car to the top viewing tea farms and the whole city. On the top, you will take a short break and walking through tea farms, taking 1 hour. Then, back down and have lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon, you will be back to Tehran from the Caspian Sea by VIP bus.
Depart at 6.00 A.M and drive towards the city of Ghazvin. Start hiking towards the Castle
6.00 a.m. wake up for breakfast and start at 7.00 a.m. we will pick the old historical trail through the mountains and work our way up to another historical village.
After breakfast at 7:30 a.m. we will hike our way through some spectacular scenery towards another village . The village is an active agricultural area and there are lots of fields and plantations
After breakfast, we have a half day sightseeing and exploring tour in the Caspian Sea. In the afternoon you will transfer to bus terminal to leave for Tehran. We will be Tehran around evening
Alamut is a region situated on the western edge of the Alborz Mountains (northeast of Qazvin province) between the dry and barren plains of Qazvin in the south and densely forested slopes of Mazandaran in the north.
Historically, the mountains of this area were ideal for construction of castles because of its natural heights that could be used as a section of the defensive structure of the castles. The nature of this area is covered by hills, curvatures, forms, scars and wrinkles. Two big citadels of the Ismailis (a branch of Shia Muslims whose adherents are also known as Seveners), Lambsar and Alamut castles are in this area. Hassan-e Sabbah (1050-1124) and his Hashshashin controlled the area for many years.
Hassan-e Sabbāh was an Ismaili missionary who converted a community in the late 11th century in the heart of the Alborz Mountains, later he seized a mountain fortress called Alamut and used it as the headquarters for a decentralized Persian insurrection against the dominant Seljuk Turks. He formed a group of fadaiyan (those who sacrifice themselves) whose members are often referred to as the Hashshashin or "Assassins" in the western literature.
